01

Joining and receiving a referral link

Creating an Aplauso account is free. An eligible account holder can receive a unique referral code and link through Aplauso. Separate approval, a paid subscription, or a minimum audience size is not required for the standard program, although payout, identity, tax, and account-status requirements may apply before earnings can be withdrawn.

02

What counts as a valid referral

A referred person must use a valid referral link or code during account creation, and Aplauso must successfully attribute that account to the referrer. A referral is not an earning event by itself. Earnings begin only when an eligible referred person, department, or outlet receives completed, paid tips.

  • Self-referrals are not allowed.
  • A person or account already attributed to another referrer cannot be reassigned merely by using a different link.
  • Duplicate, fraudulent, automated, or fabricated accounts are not eligible.
03

Standard referral earnings

Under the current default program, the referrer earns 2% of eligible paid tip volume attributed to an eligible referred tip recipient. Each eligible person, department, or outlet that receives tips is treated as a separately capped referral scope. Only successfully completed tip payments count; failed, refunded, reversed, disputed, fraudulent, test, sandbox, or otherwise ineligible transactions do not.

The standard maximum is $300 in referral earnings for each eligible tip-receiving person, department, or outlet. This is not a single $300 cap for the organization as a whole. A large organization may contain multiple separately capped scopes, so referral earnings can scale with actual eligible paid tip activity. Currency conversion, payment-processor rules, rounding, refunds, chargebacks, and legally required adjustments may affect the final amount.

04

Eligibility window for business referrals

For a referred business or organization, the default program allows new tip-receiving people, departments, and outlets added during the organization's first 12 months in the referral program to become eligible. Once one of those scopes becomes eligible during that window, it may continue generating the 2% referral share until its own applicable cap is reached, unless a written or in-product program override states otherwise. This is not a promise of unlimited or lifetime earnings.

05

Payout eligibility

Referral earnings are recorded in the referrer's Aplauso account. Withdrawal may require an active account, an eligible payout method, identity verification, tax information, and completion of payment-processor onboarding. Payout timing depends on account status, processor availability, bank processing, risk review, and applicable law.

06

Honest promotion and disclosure

Referrers must describe their relationship with Aplauso accurately and disclose that they may receive referral earnings. Referrers must not promise earnings, claim employment or endorsement that does not exist, use misleading testimonials, impersonate another person or business, send unlawful spam, or make product claims that Aplauso has not substantiated.

07

Program integrity

Aplauso may withhold, reverse, or cancel referral earnings connected to fraud, abuse, duplicate attribution, refunded or disputed transactions, prohibited promotion, account suspension, technical manipulation, or a violation of these terms or the general Terms of Service. Aplauso may request reasonable information needed to verify eligibility.

08

Overrides and program changes

Aplauso may offer a different percentage, cap, eligibility window, or scope through a written agreement or clearly displayed in-product offer. That specific offer controls for the applicable referral. We may update the standard program prospectively by publishing revised terms and an updated effective date. Already-recorded earnings remain subject to the terms and transaction status that applied when they were recorded.

09

No guarantee of earnings

Referral links, account creation, clicks, conversations, and introductions do not guarantee earnings. Actual earnings depend on valid attribution, eligible paid tip activity, applicable caps, program rules, and continued account eligibility.

10

Questions

Questions about referral attribution or earnings can be sent through the Aplauso support channel. Include the relevant referral code and account email, but never send passwords, complete bank details, or full payment-card information.
